This is a very good quote because it's message is to only be around good people. It's better to be alone than surrounded by people who won't do you any good. If you care about your reputation you would be around people that will give you a good one. Being around people that choose the wrong will get you in bad situations that will give you a bad reputation. Being around people that choose the right will make you a good person and being a good person means having a good reputation. Being alone is better than being around bad people because you won't be influenced by their actions and get in trouble. Being around good people will influence you to do good. Being good will bring you good things in life.
