right

"if your so called friends urge you to do anything you know to be wrong, you be the one to make a stand for right, even if you stand alone. Have the moral courage to be a light for others to follow."
- Thomas S. Monson

This quote means that you always have to choose the right. If you're friends are doing something that you know is wrong but you think that saying no will make you look lame, it doesn't matter. If you don't want to do something because it makes you uncomfortable, then you have to speak up and say you don't want to do it. If you tell your friends that what they're doing is wrong but they don't stop, doesn't mean you have to keep going. Just tell your friends that if they get in trouble that's their problem but it's not yours. If you choose the right, your friends will get in trouble but not you so that wouldn't be your problem to deal with. If you stand up for yourself maybe you'll encourage other people to stand up with you and say no for choosing the wrong. If you stand alone then      that's okay because at least you stood up for whats right

obedience

"Obedience us the great test of life"
- Thomas S. Monson

What this quote means is obeying the rules will make life easier for you. For example, if you obey the law, you wont go to jail. If you obey your parents, you wont get in trouble and be grounded. If you follow the procedures you will get things done faster.

Student Success Statemnt

 Student Success Statement

"Decisions Determine Destiny"
By Thomas S. Monson

Reflection:
The quote means that every choice you make will have either a good or bad consequence. If you make a good decision you will have a good destiny and good things will happen to you. If you decide to make a bad decision you will have bad consequences and will maybe end up in a bad place in the future.

Example:
If you decide to do well in school and get A's and B's throughout your 4 years you will get into a good college and get a good scholarship. I you decide to do bad in school and never do your homework or be overall lazy, you will most likely not graduate from High School and get a bad job. If decisions determine your destiny it's always wise to do the right thing and make a good decision.
